JÓZEF KRÓLIKOWSKI AND FRANCISZKA ŁEPKOWSKA (grandparents) Lubicz, Parish of Dobrzejewice, Kingdom of Poland, Russia
My grandparents, Józef Królikowski and Franciszka Łepkowska, came to America in the early 1900's. Franciszka emigrated in May of 1904 with her two sons Anton and Józef and her in-laws Anton and Teofila Królikowski as well as her husband's cousin Jósef Belkowski. My grandfather arrived in America a few years earlier in the fall of 1902 where he lived on the east side of Buffalo, NY with his sister Józefa Fenslau
Research for Józef Belkowski is included in this update and seems to lead back to Onufry Konczewski and Katarzyna Rygielski based on other connections with my ancestors which seem too coincidental to be ignored although I still have yet to find the connection.
Also discovered that my grandparents were married in the parish of Jastrzębie in West Prussia in 1898. This was a surprise since my grandfather is from the parish of Dobrzejewice and my grandmother is from the parish of Grążawy and couldn't find them in either. Of course, I was also looking at the wrong date because my grandparents had two children Władisław and Bronisław that I was unaware of. Unfortunately, neither survived for more than a few weeks or months.
By 1906 my grandparents had moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania. They had seven more children: Steffie, Charlotte, Anastasia, Helen, Franciszek, Anna and my father Stanley. Józef was employed as a coal miner in Scranton.
Józef was born in 1875 in (Upper) Lubicz which was located at that time in the Kingdom of Poland, Russia. Franciszka was born in 1877 in Łaszewo, West Prussia, Germany about 20 miles from Lubicz. Today Lubicz is located in the district (gmina) of Dobrzejewice in the county (powiat) of Toruń. Łaszewo is located in the district (gmina) of Grążawy in the county (powiat) of Brodnica. Both towns are presently located in the province (wojewodztwo) of Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Poland.

ANTON KRÓLIKOWSKI AND TEOFILA ZARZECKA (great grandparents) Lubicz, Płock, Kingdom of Poland, Russia
Although my great-grandparents, Anton and Teofila (nee Zarzecka) Królikowski, immigrated with their daughter-in-law, there are no records of them since their arrival in America. Anton was recorded on the passenger manifest as being senile and crippled from an old fractured leg. Anton was born in Lubicz and emigrated at the age of 67. He married Teofila in the Roman Catholic parish of Dobrzejewice in 1859. Teofila was 22 years old at the time of her marriage and was born in Wierzbolowo located in the Russian province (gubernia) of Augustowo now part of Lithuania.
Anton and Teofila had seven children: Bronisława, Walerya, Bronisława, Władysława, Aleksander, Józefa and my grandfather Józef Jan
My great aunt Józefa emmigrated from Toruń, Poland in August of 1900 with her three sons Bronisław, Zygmunt and Wladisław. From Ellis Island she went to meet her husband Ignacy who was living in Buffalo where three daughters were born: Sophie, Genowefa and Wanda Józefa. Sophie died within a few months. Józefa and Ignacy moved back to Toruń by the early 1920's with at least Bronisław and Genowefa.
Zofia Narozna immigrated with Józefa as well. She was recorded as traveling to see her father, my grandfather; however, she is not related in that regard. Her great great grandparents are Onufry Konczewski and Katarzyna Rygielski as mentioned above. Connection unknown but curious as she is the 1st cousin once removed of Jan Belkowski who immigrated with my grandmother.

He was also witness to many baptisms, deaths, and marriages mostly with relationships unknown. Coincidentally, he is frequently recorded with another baker Bonawentura Kwiatkowski. Was the bakery next to the church?!
